In the 1990s I used to wait eagerly for EMPIRE magazine to drop through the letterbox once a month. Later, that same excitement was for PC ZONE. A magazine wasn’t just a collection of reviews and features; it was a community, a window into a shared enthusiasm, with the regular writers creating a palpable sense of belonging.
